Enjoyed that, thanks for the link. We are over a year now into the revision, and the bullying seems to come and go depending on pressure from above on local management at a particular time I guess. What I can't stomach is the way we are accused of telling lies on our booking of docket, yet no managers ever appear on rounds to check what we are doing, ever. You can't accuse someone of telling lies without gathering evidence surely?

Someone from the CWU has recently been to the Barrow-in-Furness office to investigate bullying and harassment.

For my £3.33 a week I would expect to be represented by someone more assertive than Mark Bolton with his "what our members believe is an excessive use of the conduct code .... I'm not convinced those hours are currently to be found .... and it just seems that Royal Mail are using this tactic ...." all of which might be convincing if "believe" was replaced by "experience", "those hours can't be found" replaced "I'm not convinced ...." and he dropped "it just seems that" and surely he doesn't need to remind members of "understanding their obligations to the business as well" as they most likely do and if they didn't that's management's job to remind them.

Just thank your lucky stars you aren't in the North West..............as you can see there's very little that engenders confidence that the CWU full time released people in this area are going to reconcile any problems. It's interesting to see that he nominates Preston, the base for the Branch office.....maybe he'd like to spread his wings a little and visit other units.
