New dom has been with our office for about a week now. He has already started trying to make his mark so to speak. He has moved his entire office into another room. With windows so he can see us all working. The last 2 days he has been trying insist that no one can cut off and must stay on if they cant complete. Or must have a valid reason why they cant go over their time. This has got everyones back up and now cut offs are happening left right and centre. Think he has bitten off more than he can chew. The fool.

Or must have a valid reason why they cant go over their time? Nobody needs to give a reason you work your contracted hours.

I've even seen one use the new sheriff in town line.
He lasted about 3 weeks.
Just relax,do the job by the book and throw in 50p for his leaving card.

We are not slaves, and this shoddy company has no right whatsoever, to dictate to workers what they should do in their free time, company time, yes.......But, once my contractoral hours are up, they can go and toss each other off, for all I care.

It has come to our attention that absorption has again become a real issue within delivery and that some managers are pressurising and in some causes harassing our members to stay out and complete their delivery rounds regardless of any circumstances. This is not acceptable and we are putting things in place to deal with this.

1. We have presented guidelines to Royal Mail on what the CWU consider to be a fair and manageable workload process to be jointly used in delivery offices by CWU reps and DOMs which also includes a process for ‘cut offs’.

2. We are also collating reports from members and representatives regarding instances of bullying and harassment, and we will also be using next month’s edition of the voice magazine to highlight this further and then provide a formal position to Royal Mail based upon factual evidence.

We have a new one in ours he has come in and been quite nasty,says that staff will do as he says or he will make their lives not worth living,struts around like some prize bantam,not a very nice person uses bullying as a way of pushing his point across not good at all.
