what is a tracked letter and why was one sent to my deliver round?

Anything that has been sent "Tracked" has a t where the PPI indica goes. Some of them (depending on what the customer (sender) chose) will need a signature. I assume the (extremely shi*ty) PDAs will flag it when it's scanned on the doorstep if it needs a signature.
