A question for posties in the lincs /surrounding area. Which offices are still lapsing duties? Mainly the DN and LN areas. In my office I reckon the management are taking the pi@@ and need to know whats happening in other offices.

If the answer is yes then you have not option but to carry on doing it and if the answer is no then just don't do it

That's how Royal Mail motivate their staff.
They screw up the revision process,make a complete arse of the planning,cut the office to the bone and then tell us how shite we are compared to the rest of the mess they've made.
It's World Class.

Spot on fishtank. I know of at least 3 offices gone through the shite that is a delivery methods revision and are now being told they are the worst performing office in the country. They all can't be can they

It makes me laugh when managment keep bleating on about drop in mail ,but they dont tell you about the drop in postmen in each office

Surely if you are 'revisioned' then you do not lapse.

You surely would have to be below the lowest traffic week? .. to be able to lapse?

Lets just say we are a main DN office. Lapse Mon - Fri with collections added to Sats. We have so much fun most people cant wait to get into work. Most start early just to try and get done on time.

No

You can only not do lapsing if no time remains within your official duty hours.

The honest fact is that you cannot refuse to do anything as long as you have been trained to do it and you have sufficient time within your duty hours. Let the managers play their games not getting frustrated by their games seem to get them down.

i hate lapsing and mybe any do it once a week ,and only when i have more than 30 mins of duty left ,remeber your travel times ,check walk logs for hazards ,and make sure you give your self enough time to spend time in the office booking your FIB items back in ,and filling in your hazard cards,i leave the office on my time ,i leave my walk 15 mins before that.when the delivery methods do eventually come into my office the dom has got to giv me a hour back when i drop to 39h a week that will be fun
