Im a part timer on 25 hrs a week. Now, iv'e just received a new contract which ends in March next year and in one of the sections it says, 'the reason its a fixed term contract is that it is anticipated that your employment is likely to cease on or about the expiry date because of business reorganisation'. Does this mean i'm getting sacked?

Mine said the same, even though it ends end of November. Hardly likely to not need me coming up to christmas huh. Just standard I guess.

ignore ignore last 2 years they renew my. Even some times they didn't send me a contract my current contract exp on 7 aug but i didn't receive my new contract yet.

This has to be one of the most annoying parts of work for Royal Mail, the contract renewal/finishing letters that some machine keeps banging out every year or less when they can be bothered to turn it on at Head Office it seems.No consistency to it and gives the impression that they don't give a s**t, when actually these should be positive letters confirming us as permanent (full time I would like) rather than the completely wrong impression that we are surplus to requirements. I hide them from the Mrs, she thinks I'm getting the push every time they arrive, so better she doesn't know as the real picture is quite different.

I was just thinking that redneck. Just shows they treat you like sh!t and dont appreciate a single thing you do. "We'll keep you another 6 months, but if we feel like it - you're gone".

After three years service and numerous letters spoken of I would say completely ignore (store in a cool dry place unsigned), and keep turning up for work.
