Early starters want an earlier meal relief
Early starters make it look as though P/L works
Early starters make people starting the proper time look slow
Early starters leave before miss sorts and in house redi's

Starting early:
1. Are they working for free? This gives a false impression of the office efficiency. Any standard set is pure fiction and will be very difficult to sustain.
2. Are they working "flexi-time"? Do they come in 30 minutes early to finish 30 minutes early? Assuming they are not allowed to dispatch before their time they are advertising the fact that their walking duty isn't long enough giving managers ammunition to cut duties/lapse etc.
3. If they claim overtime for going over is that overtime recorded as indoor pressure (when they actually did the overtime) or outdoor pressure?
4. When the duty is covered by someone who doesn't start early, any problems they may have are swept aside by " but xxxx doesn't have any problems with that duty"
5. At some point they may find they don't have the luxury of working at a lower standard than their colleagues. When that happens, they will struggle.
6. It's just f***ing stupid.

It gives an unrealistic picture of what is happening within the office,if you sort your first wave of mail in the frame then pic up some odds and ends of the IPS you are advancing the mail in your frame, still when they make us all part time then we will have something to moan about.

Wreaks havoc with my bladder, as I come in on time & most of the work is allready done.
So I drink 3-4 mugs of coffee to pass time while chatting while they all panicking waiting for next van to come in.

Hold all your misorts till the very end then let the manager explain why they are there when he gets audited that may solve coming in early and rushing out like a mad man.

Totally agree mate, anyone who comes in early and gives Royal Mail free time is just a massive mug, unfortunately they aren't just mugging themselves off, they are mugging the rest of us off also, so we should be giving anyone who comes in consistently early an extremely hard time - end of the day it's all of us who will suffer for idiots like this.

You should get the office to do a way of working which gives early starters no advantage.
Where coming in early only makes it easier for those that don't.
I love early starters, god bless them.

Anyone who starts early should still be made to work their time,no going home or i came in early or i have not had my meal break,tuff you can work till the end of the shift,all we need is for some managers to grow some,the reason managers do nout about it is they are the ones that do them all the little favors so they don't want to rock the boat,it's rubbish they should make everyone work their time that way no arguments.

1- they use it to batter the postman whos claiming overtime
2 more money in there pockets simple
