Rotated day off?

I currently have a rotated day off (well its meant to be rotated can sometimes vary) and am meant to get a saturday/long weekend every 6 weeks. Recently these Saturdays have not been happening and quite frankly its getting on my nerves now. Can I insist on my Saturday off every 6 weeks? Everyone else seems to. And they are both full time and fixed term employees. Where do I stand on this? Don't wanna start going sick.

yes its what was agreed they can change your week days round if your a float but still have to give you a long weekend every 6th week

It's unlikely that a reserve will get a saturday off every six weeks,it may be two saturdays in a row then nothing for ten weeks.
Keep a diary and make sure it averages at 1 in 6.
Show the diary to your rep.

Well everyone who is on same contract as me get there Saturday off every 6 weeks. Why do I not get it? I have a family too. Just like them. Maybe they can cover it and work 10 Saturdays straight.

If the round i have signed for is due to have Thurs off and some crud tries to change it to another day he wont get far.

Get the reserves list in seniority order.
They pick duties in seniority order weekly.
A note is made of the days off.
If a lower seniority reserve is falling behind on having a Saturday off he jumps the queue and picks 1st if there is a Saturday off duty available.

Too many reservers are being had over,you need to get together and get something sorted.
