I'm just wondering, how long do your trainers last usually?

I say this as mine have lasted about 4 months and now the soles are really worn away on a slant so they are becoming quite uncomfortable to wear. Is 4 months a standard thing? WIll I get grief for trying to order new trainers after only 4 months?

6-8 weeks for the Cats normally. You won't be able to order them yourself, you need to get a manager to do it.

2-4 months, this was the norm for any of the fotwear I have tried.

You will have to get your manager to authorise it probably because they seem to think the footwear should last longer...

I can only assume that this was derived from some pillock poncing around an office for a few months and thinking that wearing them out on a delivery 5 + days per week would not have extra wear.

This is a bone of contention for me at the moment. I find them VERY uncomfortable as i'm an overpronator. This means basically that the shoe will not bend with the way that i walk therefore making my feet ache like hell. I'm in the process of obtaining a doctors note enabling me to wear my own Running style Trainers that compensate for my overpronation. I know i'm not the only one with this problem in our office. You simply cannot make a shoe that is 'One Size Fits All'

Funny, in our office its just wear what you like basically, I wear a pair of asics which are very comfortable and have lasted 3 months but aren't up to much longer.

I ve done about 3 weeks in mine and are just getting comfy. The sole is showing some wear on the rear edges already though

Oh the grip in the wet is shocking bad, how they passed any testing i dont know.

I over-pronate as well and put my own insoles in them which I've had made after having a gait analysis, was all free on the NHS so I recommend doing that if you haven't already.

I actually find the trainers quite comfy and ok with my own insoles in them. I tried running style trainers for a while but they don't support your feet half as well as a proper walking trainer like the Cat trainers. It's just a shame they wear out so quickly.

1: You can order footwear (usually has to be okayed by management) when you need it,if the things are falling apart,they are falling apart.
2: If you can't wear RM footwear and you have a doctors note you can (i'm guessing it's still going) get £30.00 towards suitable footwear.

I have got some Magnum shoes. Nice and comfortable. However the information in the box said not to wear them in the wet until the sole was roughed up a bit. Have done about 150 miles in them now. Damp steps, tree sapped drives and wet manhole covers are death traps. How did these pass H&S. I have slipped countless times.
