Got my specials the other day, our 2 rounds have quite a lot as we deliver to a lot of businesses. Anyways, when we got to our second round about 12-ish, I noticed in the pile of specials there was one with 'Special Delivery 12pm' wrote on it.
I've never seen one of these before or even been told that this service exists! Anyway I managed to get it to the address at about 12.10pm, so 10 minutes over, this was a few days ago and nothing has been mentioned to me by any of the management, it was scanned with a PDA so it would have flagged up that I'd done it late I presume.
Anyone got any more info on this, seriously, I have never seen one of these, can't even find this service advertised on Royal Mail website!

Ahh those were the days, out the door for 06.45, first letter 07.00, last letter 09.30 no problem getting Specials there before 12!!

I dont even think 1pm matters anymore, me and my p&L partner now routinely deliver specials as late as 2.30-3.00 and haven't been pulled for it.
All RM seem to be bothered about nowadays are tracked items... now fail to scan one of them and you're in a whole world of s**t!!

They do say those olympic stamps will be on sale at post offices by 12 the next day so they will have to use 9am special i suppose.
Why are lino's paid full-time ??

9am specials.. ha! People pay at least double what a special costs and gets delivered alongside the other regular ones...
They only get to me at half 9, but then we're in one of those postcode zones where they claim it to be 2 day special delivery on the terms and conditions.

I had a 9 a.m special this morning for a firm. Left the office at 7.50 to do my timed deliveries took the 9.00 a.m special with me. Got to the firm about 8.30 knowing full well no one would be there until bang on 9 and left them a 739.
