Quick Question....
Im a part timer who is always a spare which means a different walk everyday... i don't drive and sometimes my start box or middle box etc are quite a fair distance from my walk.. for example today i have 9 parcels for my first bag which is alot for a monday and i had to slip 6.... i then got my second bag which was quite full which meant i couldn't take everything and had to leave some parcels in the box... and return to them after a five mile walk back after my walk!!
What i want to know as ive been given different answers!
Can i leave parcels which slip left stickers on for the driver to collect the next day... as my a few drivers have said thats part of thier job... ??
Also a few other posties do it... can you guys let me know!

You can leave carded parcels in a drop box,the drivers should then collect them the next day,see your rep or coach (awaits the wtf is a coach and who is my rep questions) for how your office does things.

I asked my manager this a few years ago. If I couldn't get all the 739s back to a PO then I could leave some in one of my pouch boxes overnight. At the start of the next working day I was to inform him and someone would collect them from the box.
The machine stops.

are still out delivering.if any thing is left in the pouch-boxes overnight you would be sacked the system
is there to be used take them back to your office or a post-office.

It was job & finish back then, of course. 2.5 miles back to the office would have meant quite a cut-off and a lengthy argument with the line manager every other day.
