No annual leave left.. Options?

I have zero days annual leave left but need two days off next month. Anyway around this?

How do you use up all your leave in just 3 months? We can't get anymore than 2 weeks in the summer (and it looks like 1 week in the winter).

It'll be like my place we have to pre book the years leave in advance, and at the moment we don't even have a spare day left.

We have to pre book..............but it never happens, anyway, we always have some spares left over (in my case, 6 weeks from last year with another 3 added on for this year).
Obviously being so short staffed does have an affect of leave patterns and the manager using the leave budget to try and balance the rest of the budget.

Offering to work my day off for two weeks might be an option I didn't think off.

If you work on 6 days duty and week off every 6 weeks just swap week off with another employee and let the manager know. As long the walk are covered they are happy.

There is special leave,depending on why you need the 2 days off it may fit in there...

That's the attitude prevalent for many years that caused Royal Mail to drastically tighten up on time off 'sick' such that we've now got colleagues dreading a Stage 3 and coming into work when genuinely ill.

The stage procedure is still massively generous.

At the MC its not uncommon for someone to overbook leave for one year,all they do is take it off next years entitlement.Don't know if this is strictly ok,but never heard of anyone having any trouble over this,including myself over the years.
