park n loop offices re cycles ?

do they keep some bikes just incase or completely go ? as i don't drive and at the moment people get sent out on bikes for non driving and ct offs but

In theory they should all go and there should be enough drivers, so in theory you should be paired with a driver....

If duties are allocated cycles as their delivery method in the revision, then cycles will need to be retained for them, otherwise they will all go.

ok thanks ,cut offs act being done on overtime and temp staff but at present using cycles if they can't drive , maybe the business should start driving lessons again like the old days .

If you mean can they allocate a particular duty as a cycle delivery method, then yes they can. If you want me to tell you the likelihood of it being justified over a LWT, HCT, eHCT, CDV or other vehicle then I'd say very small.

In my old office they are still using cycles as the DOM reckons they are 'One of the approved delivery tools'.

One guy does half his delivery by HCT and the rest by bike 'because it's quicker'.

I told him before I left that if he has an accident on the bike the DOM will deny all knowledge but he would'nt listen.

Also they got rid of all the spares for the bikes and the mechanic (me!) so I hate to think of the state of the bikes!
