So my payslip for this week says Arrears of Basic Pay - £47.00, Arrears in Delivery Supplement - £2.41, and Gross pay £10 and net pay £8 !!! WTF !! So I worked all last week 22 hours for less than a tenner !. Tried phoning HR, was put on hold for 50 minutes with the most annoying music and woman repeatedly telling me that they are busy please wait. Then when I did get through the battery ran out on my phone !!
Anyway thats two weeks in a row I claimed one hour overtime and it has not been payed, I am still waiting to get it payed managers tell me it will be done, but nothing has. Now their deducting money for god knows what. Is RM the worst organization in the world when it comes to pay ? Their the worst I have experienced, you have to fight tooth and nail to get overtime, and now it seems the same for basic pay.
I'd like to agree, but in eleven years my pay has been right 99.99% of the time. The only time it was wrong was due to management not putting through O/T and when we changed to the new pay numbers.

I've never personally worked for a company that wasn't miserly, especially when it comes to the bottom of the food chain. That's just life, not life at Royal Mail. It won't shock you that someone disagrees with you. It's not just life. The working conditions of my do are outstandingly poor. Old timers and new staff all daily harassed and bullied. Guys getting phoned in their bed on their day off and intimidated into going in as ' actually it's not your day off' guys being lied to, hard workers being told they don't deserve the job they do well. DAILY. And then you get the institutional bullshit on top - wtf is this guy on hold for 50 minutes for - at his cost, to a company he works for? It's a piss poor company and does not reflect the modern working environment. Privatisation will be the test to show whether I'm talking s**t or not. There's going to be a big culture shift for all those linos who are way out of their depth now. Choose your charity folks cause we're a caring organisation and it looks good to the rest of the world. mean while we'll dismantle your mental health and not give a f**k.
Well I did not get through to HR, I tried again and after an hour of being put on hold, the twats said it was out of office hours !! I'll go in on Saturday have the same old conversation I have had for the last four weeks, about pay, managers telling me bla blah. It looks like I am going to have a great bank holiday, stuck in the house without a pot to p*ss in

OP - It sounds like you may have been overpaid at some point and it is being recovered. Have you been overpaid recently? Have you changed hours or been sick or on unpaid leave? When you say last week do you mean last week or this week? Your payslip relates to this week.
Thursday afternoons are very busy due to lots of people querying their payslips, with the Bank Holidays as well it's even busier. HR isn't open 24 hours a day.
