What is really depressing about this thread is the deja vu, here we go again language.
The revision failed because of:
useless planning values that the planners believed were correct.
Local managers who knew the volume counts and 100% BSI was nonsense were ignored and
Local managers who were too stupid to realise they were rubbish so kept ploughing on
DSMs operating to target dates and savings were not concerned about whether it would work only that it went in by X and saved Y,
Then having made the savings, they discovered it didn't work, then all the managers and all the planners looked round and had a good think and worked who was to blame...
Can you guess whose fault it all is?
Thought so, now comes the bullying and the testing and the 'performance issues' 'and the 'challenges' and 'get into them' bullying
Meanwhile back at the CWU, who signed up for this, agreed the call rate, agreed the model week etc, are very prickly to criticism from postmen and local reps and are too slow to react,
When they do react, the grievances are not followed up in time, they are too easily fobbed off and local reps come under assault from all sides.
Next the suspensions start and the sackings begin
on and and on it goes, for years now, not months
How is it possible another revision has failed? Doesn't anybody ever learn in this shambles of a company?
One definition of insanity is 'to constantly repeat an experiment and expect a different outcome'
which makes Royal Mail and the CWU totally f***ing insane.
Meanwhile, thousands of postmen dread going into work everyday,
the insanity goes on.
Good luck Stafford boys, you'll need it.
