How many missorts are you allowed per 100 calls? We got a new DOM and hes cracking down on people who bring too much back.

Whatever the figure may be, does that not depend on who was prepping the walk? If your walk is "double prepped" by someone else, then that someone is in any firing line, not the person delivering the mail.

I always clear all missorts, if that means a trip to the beginning of the delivery then so be it, 8 hours work for 8 hours pay.

It would be ridiculous to attempt to deliver every missort especially for a walking postie.
Common sense and judgement has to come into it.
If it looked important i would give it my best shot.
If it was a piece of nonsense from Readers Digest...not so much.
How many is too many?
If it takes you longer to prep your missorts than it does your D2D you have a problem.

Park and Loop is once over the ground - there is no time for a second visit - we have been told to endorse missorts and return them to the office for redelivery

You say deliver your missorts but what about the mail the runners leave behind in the frame after coming in early bagging up and clearing off before everyone has finished sorting, nothing gets said to them

Technically "willful delay" I think, but managers turn a blind eye because they know full well that the runners are making unachievable walks appear achievable.

Once over the ground, unless there is clearly time to return to a delivery point and still finish within contract hours.

From the rounds I do (between 500 and 650 houses) I have probably 5 or 6 misorts on average which I don't think is bad. I don't go back and deliver them and never will just endorse them, pouch em off and re-deliver them the next day. Some people in our office send mis-sorted packets back but I think that's a bit wrong.

Must be just my office then, bringing mail back will get you sacked (has happened) so I'll take the few minutes it takes to deliver all missorts (not that I have many).
