DR Martin boots

Just got a new pair of RM issue Doc martin boots.
Worn them for a few days to do my round in in full ,they are still killing my feet any ideas or suggestions.

The cat boots are so comfty when you first get them ,But get less comfy as they where out so quick.

Any ideas?

i put mine in the bin after 4 weeks,most uncomfortable things i ever put on,, seemed to get worse rather than better

You have to break Docs in...you will bleed and sometimes you will cry.... it's a war of attrition.
Wear your blisters as battle scars and don't let the bastards win.
Once you do break them they are the most comfortable boots of those available.
Magnums you can wear out of the box but they are only good for a couple of months if that.
Cat boots are far too heavy to be comfortable for walking.

For me, the only boots worth getting are Docs. I order them in plenty of time, and break them in slowly. Its the only way.

Two pair of socks and a bit of Vaseline, and plenty patience.

Personally I can't wear them, 5 hours on delivery is just too much for anything uncomfortable, cat trainers and magnum boots and then get them replaced every 3 months.

wear them around the house and bend down in them, you will then see where they crease.

put vasaline inside and out of those creases and get two hammers, put one inside under the crease, and hit the crease with the other hammer.

it will take a couple of hours to sort out both boots but it does work and like others have said they are the best boot to wear once worn in.

They are brilliant boots..

the new ones don't even have a royal mail tag on them.

Yeah, i wear them in round the house for a bit.

Then a few days for duties in the office, then change to an old pair for dleivery.

Then I take the dog for walks for a couple of weeks in them.

THEN, they're ready for delivery.

Plenty of dubbin too.

Stuff them with wet newspaper--then wear them in house, do this a few times and they will stretch to size! Thankfully, I got a doctors line to allow me to buy my own footwear, but often have to wait to get my money back! No way should you have to injure youyrself while 'braking ' boots in!

Various cures/tips still being put forward to this age old posties problem
it's 2012 and we are no nearer a solution perhaps if we
could get RM to take this problem under the WCM banner i'll bet we could
get it solved quicker than you could say Managers Bonus

I'm a Doc Martin Fan, waterproof and hardwearing - nothing compares, wearing trainers now but I have a brand new pair of size 9 docs.........I'll never wear them now.
Used to break them in by wearing them for a longer period each day - keeping the old pair in the boot of my car - and I did use my car then.

Cat trainers are better , very light but not waterproof
