Fixed term contract due to end. should i get notice?

My Fixed term contract is due to end this month in the past it has been renew and I have received a new contract to sign, As of yet I still not received anything have mention it to the office and they have said nothing to worry about they will be no problem.
I called HR today and they have received no instructions and that my Manger should have sent a EVR or something to them . I am off today and with only a week to go before my contract is to end any advice would be welcome. I am coming up to a year when it ends. Should I not get written conformation my contract is not going to get renew.
I will be reluctant to continue working if i do not have any written /email conformation.

My 2 renewals both arrived after my contract expired and I had just continued working as normal. People will disagree with me here, but not everyone's out to get you.

Just remind your manager and you will receive your contract the next day hopefully.

Glad you posted as it reminded me my eighth contract is up for renewal next week as well. Some have arrived before the due date and some after. Have always continued to be paid. Unless your Lino and DOM are complete dinlos, they would have said something by now if they're letting you go

Still not heard anything, but have been given information about joining the pension scheme and also received a new Tax code to day 822 . If contract not being renew do you get notified in writing ? Have been told by my lino not to worry. But I still like something in writing or email. only a week to go before it is up.

They love to keep you dangling. I didn't find out until two days before the expiry of my first three month contract that I would be getting another, and the unscrupulous scumbag of a manager tried to use the 'good' news as a possible reason for me to complete my duty that day without booking (it was during a busy Christmas week). I booked anyway, and I'm still here (or there).
