spoke to union rep today...

hey all I spoke to the union rep today with regards to this topic i posted yesterday http://www.royalmailchat.co.uk/communit ... =1&t=42359

after we spoke i then spoke to manager and then I didnt end up doing the late turn. though he did say we could end up moving your hours to the late turns and if i couldnt do that it maybe difficult to renew my contract when it is due.

when i originally took the job my hours were 7am-2pm, 35 hours a week but have since been reduced to 25 hours a week. 9am-2pm.

having said this it only said my hours in the job advert but doesnt say that in my contract so im worried that they could end up moving me to late turns permanantly everyday.

are they allowed to do this? doing late turns is difficult for me due to other commitments. i dont wanna lose my job as i do enjoy it and i am a good worker. i feel bad for questioning to the manager too. help!

You're right, could'nt remember what the correct finish time was because I never finished at that time so rounded it up
