another revision question

Post by keithposty »

 :hmmmm

well then, after my latest meeting with the planners,

i pointed out one of the deliveries was way to big after the crap geo route threw out.
one delivery at the moment pre revision is three and a half hours long. they want to make it to four hours -eleven. fair enough but they stuck on an
extra one hour thirty worth of work WITHOUT EVEN THE PARCELS taken into consideration.

i pointed this out by healthy debate and the response was they cant change the parameters of geo route.
THE DUTY WILL HAVE TO FAIL FIRST, post revision before they address the problem. unbelievable :arrrghhh

just need some replies so i can throw this crap back in his face

many thanks

Firstly you should have had the 2 week packet count,(thats every walk's packets and packet duties). Was this inputed in Geo Route?

packet and aover size packets were included

the point i am making is they state they cant change the delivery span till post revision, they are sticking to geo rute tooth and nail

everyone can see its unobtainable but i am just being brushed asside

a fairly easy one to check for you, look at the door to door control sheets for each walk, if any of them have a yes under multi occ then Aplus has not been updated correctly, each individual delivery point should be listed and not listed as a mulit occupancy building, they should be listed individually then grouped as a tenement or conversion in the mapping and verification program, remember you are losing out on at least 9 seconds for each delivery point not properly input into the system

Same argument here dude, but i've just said either change it now or face a daily cut off. They won't change it so they will get a daily cut off, no worries :Very Happy

Your unit readiness,(stage zero),should be all "green". Also remember every stage of the six step process should have your signature. If not it does not happen. You need to put a disagreement on ALL calls,(this includes all packets as your P&L has to perform all their packets,in theory).
Health and safety: Zero weight on shoulder and trolleys to be fully utilised. Your PIR process is the most important. Unless you get FULL GUARANTEE of ALL PRIVATE CARS OFF and ZERO WEIGHT ON SHOULDER then your signature should not be on any stage.
The 1 minute prep test holds the field,no other test.

If only one of the duties is coming out over it's more likely to be an A+ problem than a problem with the overall georoute parameters.
Re-plot it with the duty holder.

wish it was only 1 duty

we have about 45 rural duties and they are all comming out at three hours 15

they want 4 hours eleven

about 30 town deliveries are at least an hour out on the planners side

thats without the parcels, or should i say, oversized pkts

need i say the jan implementation is not happening as i still have three disagreements outstanding

We have the same problem, all duties pre-revision, georoute/pegasus plotted from the 2009 imposed revision were 3:30hrs with 30 mins traveling time on top (total 4 hrs). The planners have run them for this revision and all of a sudden they're only 2:55hrs, so need another hour added. :arrrghhh

Sadly in my office pre park and shite. we have been blown through the roof with the lack of information about duty spans etc
from management. its like a magic act . an illusion .management and planners very aloof about any agreed structure .cwu
frustrated with lack of transparency .a work force stuck in the middle .god help our souls. :Sick

the ace i have up my sleeve is that my office went through a full pegasus revision process in 2008. this never got instigated due to illicit activities by the dom being discovered

i still have all the pegasus outputs and charts from 2008.

i have asked why the geo route times from 2008 for a delivery span are on average 40 minutes less now on the 2011 geo route than in 2008.

nothing has changed to justify it. same pegasus etc.

when i tackle them on this all i get is that they are using different parameters this time.

they will not tell me what different parameters, so next week at our weekly revision meeting i am

GOING TO PUT IN ANOTHER

STAGE 1 DISAGREEMENT
