Amazon are using a company called Yodel/ HDNL for deliveries. The customer service of these companies are terrible and have annoyed many, by leaving parcels out in the rain, lying about delivery times, damaging items and many other issues. Please sign this petition to let Amazon that we want them to change delivery company.

ive regularly come across this the best one was last week when half way up the steps to this house there was a sodden amazon box ,when i got to the door informed them of it they moaned saying it is always happening and could i get it for them .when i picked it up to give them it wasnt even theirs ,it was fo no26 their no was 29 what the f***!! this was a monday so it must have been there since saturday

Hermes are pretty bad on my round; forever seeing things left in the rain or at the wrong place, think it depends on the driver. Because theyre self employed and usually theres probabaly no real accountability, though i dont really know how it works tbh.

Similar thing happened to me, parcel of books left in the rain which was made even worse by the fact that the people where in and they had a porch that was a bit sheltered at least they knew it wasn't me (from my habit of P739ing all their parcels ).

i work for rm but the wife works for yodel. the packets she delivers (inc amazon) state on her pda whether it needs a sig or can be left safe. doorstepping is not deemed safe but it can be hidden and doesnt necessarily need to be dry as long as it is out of view. yodel only pay the drivers when item has been delivered so leaving a box of books in the rear garden wet through is common practise. would YOU take it home with you to try again the next day(and the one after sometimes) wasting your own petrol when you have been instructed to leave it?

And that is the reason why people don't want them delivering to them, ffs they're a big company and should be able to at least make sort of effort to protect the packages.

I complained about them to the supplier who actually stated that they were allowed to leave them in a safe place. When I suggested that under a bush in my front garden was less than secure, I was told that as long as it was out of sight it was considered acceptable. Well it was out of sight if you were coming into my garden but was highly visible on leaving. Lets face it Yodel is a cowboy operation relying on poorly paid staff who are probably recruited from an advert on the back of an unmarked van. Exactly who does any checking on their suitability and honesty. I've had them turn up in clapped out old bangers where the PDA they carry is probably worth more than the vehicle they are driving.

while back waited 3 days for next day delivery from Yodel. tracked my parcel to be informed it had arrived and I had signed for it when it had not got to me and I still had another 2 days to wait. contacted the sending company and told them about this. Could not phone Yodel as they had no contact number on their site apart from one that put me through to automated service that just told me the parcel had arrived.

Amazon are a pain in the backside putting one book in a box that could take 3 or 4.The more orders they give to Yodel the better as far as I'm concerned.
