injured

hi guys i injured myself during a game of football this evening, "skiers thumb" apparently. this is causing difficulty grasping things.

it is not my main delivery/work hand.

i was wondering if anyone had such an injury and how bad/ difficult work will be for me.
if im unable to work what will happen?

It's ligament damage.
With all ligament damage you should seek medical advice to find out how bad the damage is.
What the treatment will be and what you can do will depend on that.
It will probably need strapped to immobilise it.
With it not being your main hand as long as it is strapped up you should still be able to work.
Co-codamol is your friend.

Lets get this right, you injured yourself in your own time, doing something that had nothing to do with work and now you want light duties? OMG I'm so upset I nearly started crying at the injustice of it all *sniffs* :roll:

FYI before the rest of you start crowing, I did the same thing 2 years ago after a minor accident on my broomstick when I hyper-extended my right thumb. Instead of sitting in the corner crying and sucking it, I got signed off work for 6 weeks then strapped it up and went back to work. Man up you limp wristed charlie!
