The MC is so overstaffed,its a joke.Casuals all over the show!

Likewise our MC is packed with them non on deliveries tho but we did get 20 odd new starters last month i expect most are on 3 month contracts.

We haven't seen a casual in our DO for...............about 9years :sad:

But we'll take them, buddy them up with someone and let them see some proper work, not that excuse for work that is the MC :wink:

Dundee East have a few,not heard anything else.
As a rule,never thought us in the DO's get them.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Never see the logic,every Christmas thr MC's are full of em,while the DO's have none.Where do the bosses think all the extra work goes when it leaves the MC?
I wish you could take some DGP1,its costing me a fortune in change for the extra Klix breaks! :shock:

Had one in this week.

Took a call from a customer.

They had left a special delivery at a side gate :shock:

Of the wrong house on the wrong street

Just sat there

In 24 years ive never seen an xmas casual in my office. :shock:

If any one asks me this year if students are helping us out, well i might kill :neutral:

A/L cant be booked usually means that most offices are surplussed, thus resulting in less O/T - those who dont do O/T throughout the year are more likely to want to do it at xmas, even though you'd be working harder for the same hrs :crazy:

dont forget theyre paying at least around 1/2 what they used to have to pay to have casuals, so theyre not spending more than what they spent last year

Doesn't the same apply to mail centres, or are they allowed leave over Christmas?

No,no leave was allowed after the last week of November.
