Xmas day's off

ive been trawling the forums looking for the answer but a'las could not find it so could somebody please tell me what days we get off over this xmas period? ive heard various things because xmas day falls on a sunday. thanks in advance!

been told only monday night off for mail centre night staff and a lieu day! ok if you want the lieu day,but most would rather have the tuesday night off as well!! what a surprize that this was agreed by the union at top level...

Read that as well on the local union board so it probably applies throughout the country. It probably also applies to anyone who works nights in an MPU as well

this matter has now been resolved,with thank's to the local union intervention!! result YEY!!!!

You don't get a day off. You have to pay them for the privelege of working on Christmas Day. Once you've served 20 years, you get Xmas Day off. :nana

yes you do get a day off! get your reps to contact union HQ about it!! if you've worked along time for royal mail,you should know you get one!!
same applies if you have booked the week as annual leave,in which case you get two lieu days back...
anyone that does work the tuesday night gets enhanced pay up to midnight, and a lieu day!!!!!!
