I have this argument every year with customers,
Once you order an item that's it, it will be delivered at some point, so it's up to the customer to make arrangements for the delivery.
I get angry customers saying 'I only went out for a minute' or 'I was upstairs'. SO BRING IT BACK LATER!!!!!!!!!

I was over by an hour on Thursday and I was off yesterday, I said to my line manager today as I hadn't claimed for it his response was a shrug of the shoulders and his answer was it's the time of the year. I was clearing packets from the day before and had 2 full packet bags of packets, and the same result today I was 30 mins over being put on a walk I've never done before. How do I know I'm going to be over before I go out on delivery?

They wouldn't work for nothing why should I, I want my money and i'm going to say to them on Monday as they did the same to me 3 weeks ago I was told to claim for it and they didn't pay me.

I had four yorks of large packets on my walk on friday. I had someone sent out with me to help but she didn't know the walk and it still took 5.5hrs which made us 45 mins over our time. I spoke to our manager before we went out and he refused to accept that we couldn't get finished on time, I invited him to come with us and see where we were going wrong and he just said i was being awkward and walked off.

Because in order to become a delivery office manager, you must be a first class pratt.

I have come across one or ten over the years

In fairness she's not that bad compared to others we have had. Trouble is how can you judge a delivery if you never perform one ? They just look at a manpower type program on a pc and make conclusions on similar traffic days. What ive found this year is an increase in smaller packets which you cannot put out to a driver and slow you down. Also many more recorder’s as well. A pc program cannot allow for things like that.
