"I thought you were on strike today"

Post by happyhippo »

this was said to me so many times today by residents and passers by on the street and probably added an hour to my day after explaining for the 50th time how todays strikes had nothing to do with us. Do you think i can claim it on overtime tomorrow? doubt it :hmmmm

Going home I passed a picket line and noticed an "Everyone deserves a decent pension" placard, no doubt an attempt to portrey themselves as other than selfish.

Same here, still saved me 5 minutes by not going to the school today. :chuckle

And yes, lots of people asked why I wasn't on strike today, I just ended up telling them that I'm in a different union

I told my customers that we were on strike and that i was working free of charge just so that they didnt miss their delivery.

One lady looked liked she believed me so i put her right.
