We had a WTLL session today It all focused on the weather. Somebody asked about using the trolleys in the snow, Manager said no you have to carry the pouch. So we get done if we don't use the LWT but they expect you to carry a pouch when the weather is bad
He was also discussing outside tempratures. I asked what the min temp we were expected to work in before they stopped delivery........minus 20! I doubt the vans would start at minus 10 anyway

I have tried a HCT in the snow and its all but impossible to push round. I would have thought the golf trolley type would have been ok as the wheels are much wider.

my van worked ok in -17c last year, i didn't thou i was bloody freezing!!!
It was -16 one day last year. I wouldn't mind if they actually provided us with appropriate uniform for such temperatures. A fleece is hardly suitable for sub-zero temps.
Hi stormproof, contrary to popular belief there are no 'official' minimun temperatures which would stop outside working, however your IR and H&S rep should be using the new SWT to gauge whether its safe to deliver with your LWT.
Under no circumstances once you have stared the delivery revision, should you revert back to carrying bags on shoulder. Your manager is pulling a fast one, take further advice Bro
I went out with my HCT in the snow... over 5 hours on a part time round, minus 6 with 6 inches of snow... took me 10 minutes to get over the little bridge between the DO and the first delivery point
Amen to the mild weather ! Last year our office was told that we should only come back if we felt it was unsafe ! Basically go out and only come back when you have had a near miss !

Regardless, I don't particularly want to be spending 4 hours plus out in negative temperatures with torrentail rain or snow, so the fewer days I have to the better..

I thought we could revert back to smaller bags,i know there is a 5kg thing out there(stairs ect) but i thought it mentioned snow as well.
