Status on job application says security checks passed
Had interview for royal mail postman/woman on 19th October .passed interview then went to next stage.had phone call to agree to security checks.my status on my application now says security checks passed.when will I receive a start date?by the way this vacancy was through royal mail letters not angard staffing.it's only been a couple of days but need to hand in my resignation at work but can't until I get a start date.can anyone help please

Mine was about 4 weeks after the "security checks passed" came up. (In June this year) If i remmber correctly, they text you a number to ring up that will tell you where your induction is, and start date is the day after. But it seems to be different everywhere...

The thing is I will probably have to give two weeks notice at work.do I wait or hand in my resignation sooner rather than later?

No there is no contact number attached to emails and when they rang me the number was blocked.so I guess I will have to wait .when I received my phone call from royal mail they did ask me how much notice did I need to give and I told him 2weeks.

I checked the website every day after I had the phone call about security checks and someone phoned me the day after the site changed to say I'd passed the checks, to offer the job officially and give me a start date etc, so I imagine you'll find out soon. Guess everywhere will be different but I was offered the job on 20oct and my induction is this Monday (14nov) so I've had a while to wait. Still don't have a contract yet even though it should have been sent by now right enough.

My start date was about 3 weeks after official job offer. It all depends on where the training day is taking place and how many numbers they have
