Days off rotor??

Im on a 25 hour part time contract, Im supposed to work 5 days a week with sunday and another day off.

Im just wondering if there is a set rotor for which days I get off, or if it changes week by week, or month by month even....Or is it different at every DO?

If for example, I know I have this friday off, what day will I be off next week? Or does it not work like that.

depends if you have your own walk really.

if you are covering walks then you will have that walks rotored day off, if you are doing a different walk every day then you will have a day off designated by your DOM.

week 2 tuesday
week 3 wednesday
week 4 thursday
week 5 friday
week 6 saturday

and so on, so you will get a sat sun mon ( long weekend ) every 6 weeks if you have your own designated walk.

you should get a long weekend every 6 weeks no matter what but they do move your days round but you can go in and tell them you want to keep to a set rotor of days off

are you a reserve?
it will depend on if you have a fixed duty or not,
up to me recently getting a duty i'd been a leave reserve for over 6 years where i had 1, yes one sat/mon off in all that time (holidays apart) and they even tried to cock that up by changing my mon off on the sat when i was off!
otherwise you take the day off for that specific duty.
if i ever needed a saturday off i had to tell the dom weeks in advance and he'd try and sort it, which 99% of the time he did.

You had 1 saturday of in 6 years?, or 1 sat and mon off?, even if it was the latter they are taking the piss. I am leave reserve different walks every week and have had at least 3 long weekends this year, maybe I just got lucky. Ive only been with them for 4 and 1/2 years.

Unit voted for a fixed day off before I joined. Not enough people wanting rotating days off for it to be changed, although we are looking at 1 in 4 at the moment.
