revision stuff at my office

Hello to everyone reading this. I am just after a quick bit of advice before i decide if i should jump off a bridge or not. Ill let you in on my story...
Im a part timer on a 22.5 hour contract but have always done 40+ hours until recently, i have accepted this and just got on with it as the revision is coming in soon and am hoping to get a higher contract but... the revision starts in 3 weeks so our hours have been changed to work till 3.30 as of then, this would mean me coming in at 11am everyday including saturday to do my 4 and a half hours, which is not the best, ive been told we are getting made to 32.5 hour contracts when the revision is complete but that is going to be april at the earliest so i wont be gaining anything from these later start times as of yet, i find this a bit unnaceptable and am not happy at all, as it will mean losing out on money and working worse hours. are they allowed to do this because i believe that until the revision is fully complete then our hours shouldnt be what they want until that time? also the 600 pound is that paid pro rata or is that paid for hours previously worked as the last 400 pound was, any information would be grateful and if you dont understand what ive wrote because im not sure if i do please ask, thank you everyone for your help in advance

I would be hoping for the contract change when the revision goes live.

The £600 will be paid pro rata on the hours you have worked as far as I know, so if you've did 40hrs for a while
you should get close to £600. (despited contracted being 22.5)

Can't believe they are going to go ahead with revisions so close to xmas

Have you discussed attendance patterns with them matt.
It may be that the want you to work your 22.5hrs over fewer days rather than a 4.5hr day which to be honest after a revision is rather pointless.

hi thanx for your replies just got home now n ready them, my annoyance at the moment lies with the fact that im on a 22.5 hour contract now, and the revision starts coming into play in 3 weeks, but is going to take to april to be fully live. im annoyed that im going to be kept on a 22.5 hour contract until april when ive been assured the 32.5 hour contract will come my way. what im worried about and would like to no more of is were any other people in my boat when there revision came in and what hours did they do because i just cannot afford to live on 22.5 hour wages! thanx again for the help

When the revsion comes in you will be begged to work as many hours as you want. Sit tight and get ready for as much as OT as you can possibly do for the next 3 months. Then decide whether you want more hours or not!
