Which I guess is fair enough, coz we have about 40 rounds, and theres only 3 of us on IPS in the morning, thats packets, letters, and flats combined
Anyways, we then have a WTL and the planner gives a speech about the rounds are done etc, and he says each van share consists of 6 loops each, so 12 in total between 2 , and each loop is 45mins each !! DOH!! 6 X 45MINS = 4HRS30, NOT 3hrs30 as is written down. Then add to that , packets, and we get loaaaaaaaaaaaaaads so thats maybe an hour, possibly more, then tracks, specials, d2d and god knows what else.
We are allowed out at 1030, and are off duty @ 2:50, so that leaves 4hrs 20, less 2 x 20min breaks, leaving is with 2hrs 10, travelling time of say 20mins (10 there 10 back), so thats 1hr50 to do 6hrs worth or work
start at 10:30 finish at 14:50, 2x20min break + 20min travelling is one hour off, 10:30 to 14:50 is 4hr 20 less an hour is 3hr 20 for your work (still way less than 6hours though!)

who do you work for DHL.
65% PART-TIME STAFF with 40 walks and only 3 staff sorting how did this happen, have you
no unit rep why has your office agreed to these workings in the first place.
The planners who did our office 6 months ago have "lost" all the Georoute for our office.
Our office is failing.
They wiped it off the computer by mistake.......... YER RIGHT

Unlike some places, it isn't a question of allowing things to happen, it is a question of putting forward a defence against the changes that can logically account for the time - when BT 2010 eventually reaches everyone you will find that revisions based on the agreed principles will definitely change the norm as you know it.
We had the same foisted on us,we had no rep and we were part of that top 10 rubbish so they put P/T duty's in, full time staff being forced into duty's that were vacant with no training, then made all the other duty's into part time, problem was and still is they are not part time duty's they take alot longer to do they cover a large area with HCT's and they have to have relief staff and bag drops because you can't get all the mail and packets on,the new word was to flex up to complete the duty!so on top of that those walks are failed regular as they run out of people so when they are done on o/t they only take what they want so then we land up with an even bigger problem, still i'm sure they know what they are doing.
Jimmy Carr`s laugh wrote:Our 1st park n loop pair went out in vans Monday, was told not to take any packets or tracked, and a row off a round they have to take when it becomes official. They came in early, maybe 15mins, didnt have breaks, and got back at 2:15, asked for 45mins OT each. DOM said he`d see how they got on on tuesday, he drove out at 1pm to check on them, still had a van of stuff left ,got back at 2:15 and wanted another 45mins.
Left work today 930, got back 315. Thats 5hrs45, plus the 15mins they started early, plus the row they havent had to take yet, and the york of packets they dont have to take yet, maybe an hour and half in total, thats 7hrs30mins, and its one of the better duties and 1 of the better more honest pairings, which is why they were chosen Oh nearly forgot, 40mins of breaks. So thats 8hrs10, and we can leave when it all comes in at 1030, thats a 640pm finish on a nice decent wednesday!
We asked about 318s and they no longer exist, they have summat called a duty plan or whatever the F its called, and the planner has put the stuff down and put everyones breaks at the end!! So you work from 7am till 220 without a break then finish They really have no idea how many rules they break on a daily basis
Have you asked when you are going to get your 600 quid jimmy? Let me know please, we aren't a million miles away and we are still waiting a year after our major revision.
