Was sent this by a freind . Dont know if anyone knows about this and would we be deilivering it.

Subject: Crime Prevention - Postal Scam

Dear Co-ordinator

It has been confirmed by the Royal Mail and Trading Standards Office that there is a postal scam taking place.

Please have a quick read and pass on to your members and anybody else you know.
We don't want anyone to get caught out by this one !

Especially as the Christmas holidays are fast approaching and a lot of mail is sent out during this period.

Postal Scam

A card is posted through your door from a company called PDS (Parcel Delivery Service) suggesting that they were unable to deliver a parcel and that you need to contact them on 0906 6611911 (a Premium rate number).

DO NOT call this number, as this is a mail scam originating from Belize .

If you call the number and you start to hear a recorded message you will already have been billed £315 for the phone call.

If you do receive a card with these details, then please contact Royal Mail Fraud on 020 7239 6655.

It started as a scam but is now an annual hoax, I did deliver those cards several years ago so I know that it wasn't a hoax.

It started as a scam but is now an annual hoax, I did deliver those cards several years ago so I know that it wasn't a hoax.

They confirm it was closed down in 2005 and the firm was fined. So yes it was a scam and is now a hoax, however, even if it is a hoax, it still a good idea to make people aware that these scams have been tried before. Hopefully making them aware means they are less likely to be a victim of similar scams.

They were red card with black printing on them...........if my memory isin't making things up.............which TBH it does because I need to occupy my mind when I'm out on delivery for 5 hours (whole films I've made up in my head which is a bit unnerving when I watch the actual film only to find it'sdifferent from what I've made up).

Yes and remember in callers office having to turn away so many grannies because they thought they had a parcel!
