I.W.T STARTING TOMOROW, NO SIGN OFF

my office have the planners in at the moment, ime on the sick at the moment due to a knee op

the rep has just informed me that the planners want to commence the inward work tool tomorow on the sly.

the iwt has not been signed off by myself or the ir rep

before i get on the phone i would appreciate some comments, i am not known for being diplomatic

they are stating that duty structures have not changed, only rural duties will be doubling up, ie, one sorts two frames while the other does ips

also

they are stating the prep rate for a 48 box fitting is 34 items a minute

is this correct and has it been agreed by headquarters

do we have a full list of prep rates for rm 2000, 48 box fitting etc that have been agreed by royal mail and the cwu

i know what i have to do but would like some sort of confirmation and do we have any threads on this

ihe ir rep is having weekly meetings but it is not what is being said is the problem

ive asked for a copy of the tmi

the codes used in the iwt on the duty planner and the time spans. the duty structure 318, is being made up into 10 minute blocks

they are still to be released

they are trying to bring in the revision within 10 weeks

ime keeping up to speed the best i can but ime rercovering from a knee operation at the moment and am on crutches so i have one hand tied behind my back/

i am worried that they will try and bring things inn behind my back as i am a right thorn in there side as i have a diploma in employment law,

Every thing should be checked by the ADR anyway,if they feck around and things are wrong they then should be put right.

I bet that's hard using crutches with one hand behind your back. (sorry I just had to say something, speedy recovery.)

just an update

iwt still in planning stage but 21 backless frames on order (only found out yesterday) (GOING INTO DISAGREEMENT (AGAIN) H&S)

i attended last planning meeting and had to put them straight the the iwt was just a resource and not a performance tool, seems they have been brainwashed, nothing new in that then

they are ignoring the issue of breaks due to the pressure they are under (shame)
they want the revision done in a total of 10 weeks (another disagreement)

i have been told on the grapevine that they are looking for duties to finish after 3 pm, (last delivery 3 pm ) that they will be by tagging on the break at the end of the duty due to there being no vans to do the afternoon sa's (oh such fun on that one : Very Happy

reps facility time on an add hoc basis (oh such fun on that one)

equipment to do the job, hct, trolly, etc , takes 7 weeks from time of request minimum , they have not even done the outdoor elemant yet, let alone the iwt

apparently all the indoor measurements have been done on an average basis,
before we go any further with this revision i am going to demand how they are making up the duty planner, they are putting the whole 8 hour day, in five minute moduals,seems i am going to be just looking at every duty structre timings till christmas at this rate

i will be insisting that every walk is risk assessed,(walk tested) and not just rely on the imput from staff on WRAP

seems about it, alot of closed doors by the planning team, only get to see them once a week, then it is them just spouting how they justify the proposals

It seems that the "PIR"("Post Implementation Review"),the most important section of the 6 step process,has not happened or ignored. This part of the process is what is being used on collections revisions,(7 step process). Basically a Unit readiness assessment. This agreement would have to have our aspirations and theirs. This would have included all the H&S issues,the tools timetable,making sure the 1 minute prep test agreement,and anything else you can think of. This would be before Phase 1. IR framework on issues within the PIR.

Unilateral disagreement! Hand it up!

PS: Gate meetings should now be organised too!

LETS FACE IT THOUGH

DOING THE OUTDOOR REVISION FIRST HAS NOT WORKED AT OTHER OFFICES SO FAR

WONDER HOW THAT IS GOING TO EFFECT THE 6 STAGE PROCESS
