Work Time Learning
After our WTL sessions if we've had a briefing on say security or PDA's etc we are asked to sign a document, is this to say we have attended the session or to confirm we agree and understand a new working practise? We are so sick of being pulled up on the most petty things that we thought not to sign anything from now on as it only seems to incriminate us

Well you can always read it before you sign it so you know exactly what you are signing.

since p&l started weve not had one wtl session all we seem to get now is what they call a quick huddle where you work about 6 posties at a time thats if ur by ur frame when he comes round

Covers their arses,but you need to see the brief as well that they are gobbing on about,if it's not agreed with the CWU,you don't sign it.
There was something like this doing the rounds with the conduct code/integrity of mail bollox,in my area anyway,we were told not to sign it as they added words willy nilly.

Thanks Postman, we just get a sheet of paper with our pay numbers alongside, I've asked many times what am I signing for and been told it's to say I've attended the session. I think from now on it's gonna be an X,

We sign a sheet to say we've attended but if it's about, say, security of mail or winter etc then we also each sign the sheet with all the info on - probably to cover their arses / use as a weapon should we get something wrong....
