hi folks after years of living in hope it looks like im finally going to escape the drag of working for a firm that couldnt give a toss about its staff.after 11 years in i was wondering how much notice they will require(not that they deserve any help or co operation)

Anything that doesn't involve walking the streets feeling that your manager thinks you're the lowest of the low would be my guess...........shovelling sh1t in hell would be better

At one office I worked at , a fed-up postie just went awol and buggered off to sunnier climes without telling anyone so they just kept on paying him for 6 months and then got rid of him lol .

Another postie started work at Nine Elms, I heard, and his mate signed him in and out each day for nearly a year before they wondered what it was he actually did and found out he had only ever attended the initial induction week

You should find a new job first before you quit this wonderful job , lol. My old man always says its easier to find a job in employment than out of job. Don't know if this is true. In Feb i'll find out if this is true when i start looking for a new job.

Excellent news and WELL DONE on your escape ! I like you been in the business about same time and hate the way we are treated - the sick procedure is a DISGRACE the way we are spoken to is a DISGRACE and the job now etc etc is a DISGRACE and I don't understand WHY it had come to this ??????
