Can some show me on here where the CWU rules are for office revisions.
If say walk B is asborbed by walk A ,with the majority of delivery points of B now forming the majority of NEW -WALK A
Both walks currentley have duty holders.
Walk B Duty holder is displaced, but their is a vacant walk in the office that they are happy to do.
The NEW WALK A current duty holder has more seneority than B and says that under CWU RULES the fact his walk has received 70% of another walk ,the official Duty holder should be B ,who was origanaly displaced.
Neither person wants the new walk as is exceptional big.
union reps back senior man .
So Can the senior man ,simply walk away from his walk even though it has substantialy altered ?
Does the junior man have to accept being pushed onto this new walk ,even if 70% of it is made up of his old walk.
Where could I find the exact rules.
The Management will accept any recomendation from the CWU rep .
Does the Junior man have any rights at all ?
Looks very unfair to me ,but Duty holder on A appears to be very well infomed by someone with a very good knowledge of union rules, thats not to say he is correct just sounds like it .
I just want to find the correct rules and ensure fair play

Re: Revision Rules ?
If there no longer is a Duty B then Duty B is displaced.
It doesn't matter how senior he is,he is the displaced duty holder.

Read the MTSF agreement if you don't believe me.
The definition of a surplus employee is clearly stated.
A permanent employee whose current job has disappeared or will disappear in a known time frame.
Whose duty has disappeared....A or B?
It doesn't matter where his duty has gone or if he's more senior or if he can piss higher...if his job/duty has gone...he is displaced...he..is...surplus.
It isn't rocket science.
