think its now time to revert back to the old d2d system .....max 3 done by the walk holder ..with part time reserves and part time floaters not having the nightmare of having this burden thrust upon them ..adding extra work load and time onto their already limited hours ..

The old agreement for d2d wouldnt have helped them apart from only having a max of 3 d2d, the old system was d2d delivered monday to friday 20% per day, floaters and reserves covering were supposed to take their fair share of them.

They should limit the number of them, I had four the other week with one being a red cross pen. It was ridiculous my bundles were huge because of the pens. It was confusing also, as I was getting the addressed mail mixed with the d2d all the time. I hate d2d, its the worst part of the job in my opinion.

Part-timers are meant to get some pre prep from full timers which includes doing door 2 doors if needed. Sounds like you need a good union rep or you need to stand up and raise the issue with management.

not in my office all the part timers have to do it all and i'm very sorry to say they all guilty of coming in early otherwise there would be a lot of demoralization (if that is a word) with the drivers nagging for the bags and the full timers getting out and hour or more before them. i have only heard the rep once say don't come in early but nothing is being /will never be done

Ha very funny , I dont know about your office but for me, Im pt and addressed mail does not even get fully prepped for me never mind d2d.

For d2d I prep them after the bags are out, when the frame is empty. That way I dont get ear ache of drivers wanting bags and if I finish late for my delivery then I just claim ot for it.

That would depend on the contract they have, the number od D2D contracts, the delivery span they are on and the traffic on any particular day.

All very well for someone who has been with RM for a long time and should know better,Put yourself in the shoes of a person who has a family and has been out of work for a while,they get a job with RM and they are desperate to keep it,so have a heart,the union should be protecting these people not threating to not represent them.
