Part timers on a 3 day week?

Any info on part timers doing a 3 day week much appreciated.Especially if DDA is involved.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

We have some part timers on 3 day weeks.

6 days on then 6 days off split over weekend basically.

I do a 3 day week 24 hour contract, fixed Wed and Thurs off plus floating day.Best thing that has happend since I've been at RM.

We've got one duty covered by two 22.5 hr, 12 week contract, guys. They both do three 8 hour days each. Not sure what you mean by DDA? Problem occurs whens there's a bit of Favouritism :no no and they're then given other duties to cover on their "Days Off" which suits the Manger as he's got a Ready Reserve! In the meantime other PTers are being restricted to their 22.5 hour contracts! :arrrghhh

It's not an absolute science Taurus, they basically hammer a square peg into a round hole! :crazy: I mentioned the "F" word and these two guys have basically had their contracts increased "Unofficially" to 24 hrs plus any excess and other duties they're asked to cover during their "Days Off"! :no no They repay this by throwing off Household in their own time and not claiming Meal Relief! :arrrghhh RM are "Grooming" their workforce of the future, where everyone's stabbing each other in the back for work and undermining all the T & Cs that previous generations of Posties have fought for. Just because they're on Crap Temporary Contracts and are scared they won't even get them renewed if they "Rock the Boat"! What a wonderful Company eh! :arrrghhh

Our office has a one-in-four Saturday's off rotation, and those that are on three-day weeks get every Tuesday and Wednesday off, plus a rotating rest day.

I have just started on a 25 hour per week contract and after the first week, I am now on a 3 day week. 3 days of 6.40am til 3pm and the rest off......."unless you want to come in of course"......ha! Pretty sweet deal if you ask me. Overtime if I want it and 3 days off in a row :) Different walk every shift though but I suppose that keeps things interesting :nana
