Drug use in DO

I have reason to believe that in my DO that a number of my colleagues are used to using some illegal substances within Royal Mail premises. This was brought to my attention when we were doing overtime after our shifts, when one went into the toilets and came back with the usual tell tale sign of effects of this said substance.
The usual culprits are 'in' with the DOM, a usual compliant is made of their behaviour with a simple reply of 'ah calm down lads' and a wee chuckle with them.

If its true from what i have heard and seen, i wouldn't like to work in an environment like this.

Anyone else had experience of this? and any Advice?

Sadly, there was a time in our office deals were made on the shop floor, no kidding! Think Management stepped in with a token slap on the wrist, but these perpetrators are still thereand as you say still in with Management!
As to what to do ,that is so difficult--but if these chaps were then going out to drive a company van, and others had to travel with them---or they are endagering other road users--Management should be made aware of THEIR responsibilities!
Just sort of drop that snippet in next time you complain--or go to your health and safety Rep.

especially if these people are driving i think the old bill would be very interested . you wouldnt have a couple of cans of lager and drive a royal mail van

Sorry but I would have no second thoughts about reporting these individuals to the police, providing I was sure of the facts. I would over ride RM management as these individuals are a danger to other road users and pedestrians.... My advice would be ring the police for advice on how to play it.....

if they were drivers id definetley grass them up to old bill

Tell the ib what you think is going on and leave it to them. In a few weeks time they might pop out of the woodwork - pop back in again and several staff have misteriously vanished.

If they are going out driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol, I'd report them to CrimeStoppers. I would not want it on my conscience if some kiddie crossed the road and got mowed down by one of these people. I'd rather be a 'grass' in some people's eyes than have to live with the knowledge that I could have prevented the injury or death of others

Judging by the number of miss sorts I get, I am sure the person that preps my walk is on some kind of mind altering drug, either that or they need to go to spec savers.
