How do you get a uniform

I just rang the free phone Royal Mail Uniform number and she said you can only order shoes or something like that, she was talking so quietly on the phone i couldn't hear her. Then she gets my pay number. then she hung up. Is there any other way.

Yes through your manager - IIRC they can now do it on-line - over the intranet.

TBH I always get my manager to order any uniform.
All post by me in Green are Admin Posts.
Any post in any other colour is my own responsibility.

I think if you're a newbie you can only order PPE(footwear&hi-vis) for a certain period...maybe 12 weeks...don't know the exact length of time.

They should have given you an order form after the job offer along with your contract. I heard that you are supposed to wait 6 weeks but I ordered mine on my first day and a week later received my full uniform!
I'd try ringing again

I filled the forms in on day one and got the full uniform 6 weeks later. I had to were all my own gear in the mean time, appart from the hi vis that was supplied.... well i say supplied the lino took it from the fitting next to mine and said ere this will do.

get your manager to repeat your uniform order,maybe 4 times over 4 months and hey presto they still dont arrive. :crazy:

i never made a fuss about getting mine, just waited till the boss handed me the order sheet a couple of weeks ago and told me to get it back to him "whenever". handed it it the next day and thursday just gone turned ups to find a big box with most of it in on my bench.
only things missing were the lightweight cagoule and RM issue footwear but i'm not too bothered about that, from what i read on here i'm probably better off with my personal kit!
