It's not that warm, if you're overheating then you're working too fast..................so slow down and drink plenty of fluids

Whilst I agree with you advising them to slow down and drink plenty I think its a tad unfair of you to be telling them "its not that warm"... we all have different tolerances to heat/cold, personally I find anything above about 65 to be too warm, where as in the winter I can quite happily walk around in shirt sleeves when its only a few degrees above zero.DGP1 wrote:It's not that warm, if you're overheating then you're working too fast..................so slow down and drink plenty of fluids
We've had a very dull cool summer this year, I dread to think what P&L would be like if we do get a scorcher of a summer with prolonged spells of temperatures up in the 70s and 80s for weeks at a time.

But its not that warm, if it where 40 centigrade and the sun was blazing then that would be too warm but a mild 25-30 degrees ain't too bad. Again DGP, it's not too hot for you. Thats a personal statement not a fact for everyone else.
Hypo/Hyper thyroid sufferers for example feel the cold a lot more than the average person.

I never said it was fact but normal working temperature is 25 degrees..........would people complain that was too hot in an office environment, I don't think so. Which brings it back to slowing down and drinking more.The same applies to the cold, unless it's -25 degrees then all it is is making sure you wrap up well and you won't have a problem.

It was to hot today. What I want to know is do the Royal Mail not give their workers sunblock for days like this, because as far as I am concerned, walking for a long time in the midday of sunny hot days is a hazard to your health, with skin cancer, sun stroke etc etc a concern. It seems Royal Mails new motto is "Only mad dogs and post men in the midday sun"

Health and safety should force Royal Mail to give free sunblock to postmen on sunny days like today. The union should do something, oh sorry I forgot, the union bosses don't give a stuff as they are sitting in their big offices all day in London.
