Hi all ....back for some info please if any one can help?...ive recenently applied for some casual xmas work through royalmail website....ive done the tests online , done the over the phone interviews,, now its time for face the face to face interview...had an e mail yesterday asking me to bring some documents with me to prove im actually a real person lol......the bit im a bit stuck on is that they want my original national insurance number documents..which i dont have . i left school over 25 years ago and dont posess my original nat ins number ....the new ones which most people have now (the credit card blue and red thing) dont get issued now..... as from september 2010 last year....a p45 and p60 does not count so the e mail says (strange) any ideas of what i can actually bring with me to the interview.......many thanks for any help.......im stumped !!!!!!

Do you get any kind of tax credits? They should be on there,also would be in your Doctors records.

i dont get any tax credits...i have just signed up for job seekers .. i have my signing on card with nat ins number on it ,,will that b ok ?

Sorry miss read you, 'original national insurance number documents' have never heard of that.I thought it was the NI number they was after.
Well you've got your NI number,have you got,drivers licence,passport,anything from the social.

We have a lot of newbies who have just joined the firm they may spot this and help you out.

Birth cert? Don't panic tho,others will be on to help you out.

Just been through the same process with the same problems. Had to get a new birth certificate as my extract wasn't deemed suitable, but proof of NI number was the biggest problem. P45 and P60 were not accepted as they came from employer not HMRC. Eventually managed to locate an old tax rebate letter from a number of years ago that was accepted.
