two part question ...................[1] does anyone have the dates we are off over xmas .....................[2] forward planning is there a back up plan on delivery at xmas because last xmas i became three bags on part of my round and that was without any large packets , im aware that they are putting packet drivers on but will there be excess , id put an optomistic smillie face at end but there isnt one

This is normally handled locally between your dom and CWU rep who come up with a deal, if not you can simply extend on a daily basis. We normally get offered around 22 hrs SA OT over 2 weeks to handle the xmas load. It used to be a good deal but the the last two xmas pressures have been hit by snow

Personally i will only be working to time this year

Same as me, work to your time and go home. Alot seem to think you are expected to go that extra mile over xmas and stay out till youve finished delivery, whatever the time is. What a load of shite that is. Managers f**k off every day over xmas on their exact finishing time including the dom, so if thats how they want to behave then ill be doing the same. In the real world a manager should be at the office till the last postie walks through the door but they dont give a shite.

Fri 23 and Sat 24 are my days off and so is Mon 26 which means I'll get that back.

I got to work on 1st Dec then 3 days off (For Amsterdam), 5 days work then floating week off then 6 days work then Christmas holiday. Will be easy month for me as long I got suitable walk and no snow.
