My goodness i totally agree,the public can be sooooo rude,even got accused of being an f*******ing liar when i was in there,only said the guy couldn't have his packet,rude,rude,rude,customer services are also a pain they tell people they can do or have things that they can't,going against the mails security some times they are worse than the customers.

Most of the Callers Office staff ( and some others too ) are doing NVQ course run by SWA ( Steve Walker Association from Leicester) . Has any body got the certificate yet?

I have worked in the Callers Office for over two years now. Not through choice I must add, but because my knees are knackered with Arthritis .
I think anyone who does that job deserves the Victoria Cross, not a NVQ. Until I worked in there I had no idea how rude and inpatient the public are . Just my view on things.

What does this qualification qualify you for? a job in telesales? will it be recognised outside of RM? Sounds like another un-neccessary piece of paper and a training firm on the gravy train.

like simply writing a P739 out properly for a start

Filling out P739 s correctly ? you must be having a laugh ! I get packet ticked when it's a recorded or tracked. No name or sometimes no details on the card. Oh and another favourite of mine is the different surname on the 739 to the packet or letter etc. Sometimes it's enough to turn you to drink.

If it’s an item with a double-barrelled surname I put it into the ‘God Only Knows’ area!

Thing that really gets my goat is the lack of savvy,anyone with a half ounce of sense would know that you would need all the info of the item so the callers staff can find the item,the other day we had a docket it had a name on it and that was it the only other thing it had was the duty number so we had to ask the customer if it would have been a packet they were expecting or was it maybe an Amazon item you then end up searching all the relevant places if the customer is not sure,mean while the Que is getting longer and the temper is getting a little shorter.Its not hard to fill the dockets out is it now!

Hardly a day goes by when I dont get a dodgy 739 card.

Perfect for building up big ques.

One person operation my callers office except at Xmas when there is no one on leave.
