Anyone got this in there depot!??.. Latest "idea"...sorting takes you till 8:15am ish, when finished take everything back to your frame throw off what you can!!.

Making sure that you take your "lapsed duty"...(taking preference over your own duty!!) with you but leaving loads of your duty behind!!!???.(told by Dom that "you won't get done for willful delay coz I've authorised you to do it!!..)

i ask the question then, loads of mail still in office and a manager said today that it wasn't their job to take it, customers could well be waiting for something, this should be going to national press now.

On the presumption you and collegues are on an 8-hour daily contract, why are you and your workmates taking their whole meal relief allowance way before anything like half way through your working day? You should be taking 20 minutes around four hours into your shift... Or are you all starting at 0500?

We used to be 20+20 but since P & L we have the full meal relief before we go out and tbh we are loving it and a lot less stressed out and this thread is not about meal relief

In our office, some of the 'less gifted' posties are getting chased by managers quoting prep times from the indoor working tool. I've noticed this week that my colleagues are being told when to go for their break (usually 0930). They leave us firms deliveries alone to get on.

You are taking lapsing/absorption (savings) and delaying other mail to save money,yes it's willful delay,your rep should be on this like a flash,needs to to go to ADR pronto.

To absorb workload, where time exists, providing quality of service is not adversely affected.

It has been brought to the attention of the Outdoor Dept that Royal Mail managers are attempting to use an unagreed performance tool to measure the performance of individuals. They are stating that this tool/approach has been agreed with the CWU which is completely untrue.

Our understanding is that they are extracting information from the IWT (which is an agreed tool) to determine what the throughputs (IPS/Prep) should be on an individual basis. However the IWT is a tool to measure office/unit performance not individual performance and there has been no discussion with the CWU at national level at all on this unagreed approach. The only agreement that exists between the CWU and Royal Mail on the subject of individual performance is the Individual Performance Standards Agreement and no other.
