ATOS? prcedure etc?

this is where Im at

suffering with diagnosedPlantar fasciitis
had it for months,probably a year+
Im managing with deliveries with shoe inserts and medication
however its getting harder
I have an appointment with the podiatrist but have had the request for the day off refused

so i may get another day sorted but wont know till Monday

whats the process with going the ATOS route
whilst im managing i would say the problem is getting worse and as the volumes rise towards xmas,I'm going to struggle
Im stage clear at this point and have had one 6 day absence with it recently

Ive started to suffer with that mate. Ive found using a ibuprofom gel on the soles of my feet a few times a day helps a bit
Mines worse after ive played footy. Let us know if you find a solution to this .

forget the gel
go to the doctor and get some Dicloflenac tablets
makes a massive difference
if i didnt do a job involving walking(chicken and egg argument mind) then the tablets would be enough

Ask your manager to refer you pronto.He wont like it cause he'll know what would come of it,you should get the union involved as well as back up.

Try and get the refusal in writing as back up.

no,no and no
I actually spoke to the DIM who at this point is dealing with days off(we have so many chiefs they move it around to fill their time)
was told it was unlikely
asked a few days later as to whether they had checked
was told why would i have checked, theres no days free due to the schools being out
so approachable and helpful arent they

well Im more than happy to piss them off with ATOS

I thought although you should TRY to arrange appointments for outside work hours, where it was not possible, you were entitled to time off for it. Over to Fishtank :)
