Overtime Query

Me again. lol

I worked my saturday off bank holiday week and as "wage had to be sent off by thursday not friday" i've had to wait a week for the 8hrs to be paid.

Got my payslip today but im a little confused.

Tax week 22.

Pay rate: 344.46
Del Sup: 20.89
Basic: 323.57
RRIS: 35

Gross 379.46
Net (after deductions) 304.41

Tax week 23.

Pay rate:362.43
Del Sup: 20.89
Basic:327.16
RRIS: 35

Gross 383.05
Net (after deductions) 306.96
So working my day off has earned me £2.55.... surely this cannot be right?

No you have received a pay rise at one of the trigger points. Did you start 6 months or 12 months ago - if so thats what it is

You have not been paid your overtime that shows separately as

Over Time First 10 Hours = £**.**

I was told my overtime would be in this week! I'm guessing as its not on the slip it wont be going into my account tomorrow.

This isn't the first time i've had trouble with being paid overtime! Tomorrow is my day off so wont be able to bring it up until saturday. By then as friday has passed i imagine it cannot be processed until the week after next...

Is there anyone i can call to see if my overtime has been or is currently in process? Or is it a case of having to continually badger the DOM?

I just don't want it to get to a point where it becomes "too late" to get paid.

You could call HR the number is in the pay chit.

But if you know the full name of your manager and the correct spelling you could email him at firstname.surname@royalmail.com

When this happens you can insist on being paid your overtime. Say that you worked your day off because you needed extra money for a specific purpose and you can't wait another week. They can send you a postal order through internal mail.
