Criminal record check
How long does it take for Royal Mail to do a criminal record check. They said it would be 7 - 14 days when they first contacted me, having got a job. But its been over 2 weeks now. Did anybody else's take longer? I don't have any convictions.

Re: Criminal record check
It takes longer because you need an enhanced check as you're working with vulnerable adults.

Crb checks on average take 3 weeks. Wouldn't worry if you're clean.

Re: Criminal record check
The wait can be anything from 3-4 weeks to 6 months or more. No joke. Well it is but, well, um, it's not. 3-4 weeks to 6 months or more.splatterfaces wrote:I just passed. So, what happens now.

1 month in most case - 6 months is probably at the far end of a possibility curve.

Re: Criminal record check
I have just started as a postie last week, the crb took 3 weeks, then I had to wait 2 weeks for the induction day, I started at the delivery office the following day. So on that score I'd say you will have an induction within 2 weeks
