Re: If it's a bill....
The ones that crack me up are the people who ask if I have anything for them. Then I say 'no, nothing today. No bills at least, eh?' And they laugh in amazement as if I'm some sort of mind reader, as of course this is what they were going to say!
You must understand that I am here purely as A BEARER OF MESSAGES.

Run, rabbit run. Dig that hole, forget the sun.
And when at last the work is done. Don't sit down, it's time to dig another one

Mate, I used to work in hotels for 17 years, smiling and joking and fake laughing come as second nature especialy at 2 in the morning when you have been up since 6am and you are trying to get rid of a wedding party group who just wont let you close the bar and insiste on telling crap jokes and letting you know how expensive your drinks are and that the party should of been held at the local miners welfare !!!Sime83 wrote:....you can take it back.

I thought i was leaving these jokers behind.... but all thats happened is i now meet them on the door steps, telling me "you're late" and "if thats a bill..." and my personal favourite...." he won't bite you"

I love it when you deliver a surcharge card and they come running down the road saying they was in and you didn't knock. The look on their face's when you explain about the card.

Re: If it's a bill....
Trying to explain it to the people on my delivery is like trying to explain Calculus to a 2 year old. They just give me a blank look and say 'so you haven't got it then?'ninjaposty wrote:I love it when you deliver a surcharge card and they come running down the road saying they was in and you didn't knock. The look on their face's when you explain about the card.
Then there's the new one, not so much what people say as what they do. You give them the PDA to sign, and they turn it around. I tell them 'that's upside down', they reply 'I know, it's the right way up now'. I say 'No, you need to sign it the other way around, the way I gave it you' and they say 'But that was upside down'............
