p&l to start in october ?

our office are going on the parky and loopy in october,will never work.my possible partner will prob want me to do most of the work,i am thinking of cutting off and working to time most days,fed up of extra work being piled on to us all the time.The thing i want to know is,have both people in the van got to be drivers,my plan is to get a lift back to the office and my collegue can then go back out on delivery and grab all the OT,everybody is happy,by the way i can also drive might take it turns to drive back to the office.

Quite agree,we started P & L in october last year,what a nightmare,we had to do masses of OT just to clear the parcels,will be interesting to see how it goes this year.

why do offices let royal mail managers bring in this park and loop when
every day on this web site staff moan how its not working in there office.
has no one in your office told managers what is happening all over the country.

as soon as they start giving dates of when park and loop get the union to put in dissagreements
and the first one should be a loss of confidence with management.
remember staff outnumber management.

I agree but Ward,Hayes.Gibson.PEC know all about it,its up to therm to lead us out of the mess,otherwise what do we need

Any time you take over responsibility for driving the van you have to sign the log book and perform a duty level vehicle check...that's any time and every time.

they tried it with us last year..we just flatly refused to do it before christmas pressure came.we won and started after chrimbo pressure.
oh my god are we glad we stood our ground,its really not bad mail wise and we still have to cut off wed thur and friday,...mon , tues and sat finish about 2.30pm
...good luck if you get this in just before christmas as it will be a total nightmare,and yes despite what anyone says about just cut off and go home u will still be stressed to hell....all the best

Managemts responce was to bully and harrass everyone as much as they could and now it all works fine. Almost everyone in the office comes in an hour early, works through their break and goes over by around an hour and all in an office that states "we will not pay overtime". On this base the whole thing was shown to be a great sucess. Enjoy.
