Integrity of the Mail

Dom had a huddle yesterday and told us RM are to pilot a scheme in certain areas where posties can leave anything except Specials with a neighbour.
What happened to their stance on integrity of the mail
I think I will still be P739ing items as they order them not their neighbours.
Is this not what we did for years then told not to?
Next thing you know they will be wanting us to start at 5am and do 2 deliveries a day.Wait a minute,haven`t we already done that?

I think your DOM is jumping the gun, RM have only just asked Post Con for permission to do this (but I'll not be wandering up and down the street looking for someone to take a packet).

did say stuff about postcom and trial only in certain areas but as usual wasn`t listening to half the propaganda we normally hear

i was taught several years ago when delivering in a van or collection attempt to be within 25yds of said point security of mail etc.Now they can leave vans fully loaded for as long as it takes to do loops .Cant wait to see what happens to the couple of postpersons should the vehicle be broken into and drove away.It takes seconds to break into one ,i think RM needs to be very careful what they say or do in regard to Mail Integrity.
